As HTML5 begins taking shape, after years of work on WCAG, and a host of OS and browser based accessibility enhancements it does seem odd that a need for an Acrobat plugin still exists. Stranger still is the claim that using Acrobat to deliver web content solves web accessibility issues. For those print based designers who can still work on the print media it makes great sense, keep up the beautiful work! For everyone else, it’s time to retool folks, Acrobat documents and forms are just not where the web is headed.
